Grayling, Burson, Ketchum Clients Lead EMEA SABRE Nominations

BRUSSELS—Huntsworth-owned Grayling tops the list of public relations agencies whose campaigns will be recognized at this year’s SABRE Awards dinner, to be held on May 31 in Brussels. The firm’s clients received 17 nominations in the Gold SABRE categories, which recognize excellence in public relations programming, while there were two additional nominations for clients of its Atomic subsidiary, which specializes in technology PR.

A handful of other firms reached double digits in terms of nominations, including Burson-Marsteller (including ASDAA Burson-Marsteller in the Middle East and Advocate Burson-Marsteller of Greece)with 16; Ketchum Pleon with 15; various Porter Novelli agencies with 15; Edelman with 13; Weber Shandwick with 12; Publicis Group agencies with 11 (five for MSLGroup, four for Publicis Consultants, two for Ciszewski MSL); and Ogilvy with 10 (including four each for Ogilvy PR and Russian affiliate SPN Ogilvy and one each of Ogilvy Memac in the Middle East and Ogilvy Health).

Among independent and local firms, Shine Communications and The Red Consultancy, both based in the UK, led the way with seven client campaigns among the finalists, followed by UK agencies Blue Rubicon, Four Communications and Unity and The Practice of Romania with five nominations each.

Hill+Knowlton Strategies garnered four nominations (plus one for its branded Lithuanian affiliate), and there were four nominations apiece for international agencies Cohn & Wolfe and Fleishman-Hillard; UK-based Brands2Life; and Jung Relations and Prime PR of Sweden. CROS of Russia, GolinHarris, Infopress of Spain, John Doe Communications and Lexis of the UK, Molthan van Loon Communications of Germany, and The Quadrant Company of Nigeria each earned three nominations.

The Holmes Group also announced the winners of its Silver SABRE Awards for excellence in content creation and PR agency management. Edelman will receive three trophies in these categories, and there are two each for Hering Schuppener of Germany, Inforpress of Spain and Trigger of Norway.
