Holmes Report 18 May 2012

LONDON—Grayling has appointed Sarah Howe as a lead consultant to the firm’s Grayling Future Planet international corporate social responsibility and sustainability business, which was recently shortlisted for the BusinessGreen Leaders Awards 2012 Green PR Company of the Year.

With the promotion of Paul Thomas and Victoria Webster to directors, Grayling Future Planet now has 30 sustainability experts throughout the international network.

According to Howe, who is also building her own eco-home: “Sustainability and CSR are, of course, increasingly critical to the business, consumer and political agendas, especially in the digital age.”

Howe most recently served as director, campaign innovation, at Text 100, where she was responsible for infusing the firm’s client work with greater innovation globally.

She has more than 20 years of international consulting experience, across corporate, consumer and business audiences, working with brands including Microsoft, Nokia, Sony, Dell, Canon, IBM, Skype, SanDisk, Royal & Sun Alliance, NXP and Total, as well as varied work with organizations including the UK Government, One Water and various NGOs and charities.

Earlier, she held senior management positions within Next Fifteen Group companies since 1994.

Thomas has been with Grayling for eight years, working on national and pan-European campaigns for major corporates such as Jaguar Land Rover, Sony Europe, Santander, BT and HSBC. Webster joined Grayling in 2007, having previously worked at Munro & Forster, and specializes in CSR and “third sector” issues.
