Netgear Names Atomic as Agency of Record

North America

Paul Holmes 31 Aug 2010

SAN FRANCISCO—Atomic Public Relations has been named U.S. public relations agency of record for Netgear, a worldwide provider of technologically innovative networking solutions for homes, businesses and service providers. The account will be led from the agency's San Francisco office.

"Atomic's approach to Netgear was very different than that of the other agency finalists, more modern, integrated and strategically in tune with what our management team was looking for," says Judy Hoffmann, senior director of worldwide marketing communications. "They were able to analytically break down our various markets from a media and social perspective, and provide strong strategic perspectives and concrete 360 degree communications plans for advancing Netgear’s brand and business."

Atomic was selected after a competitive review of top U.S. tech agencies for its blend of classical PR and social media, video and search engine optimization, enhanced with the sophisticated use of communications analytics for strategy building, creative planning and detailed program measurement, to engage people in real time and in Google time with relevant Netgear related content.

The agency's scope of work will span strategic planning, positioning and messaging, media and analyst relations, social media, blog design and support, video, PR-related SEO, events and special projects.
