LONDON — B2B tech PR firm Chameleon has won UK PR duties for social media management platform Hootsuite without a competitive pitch.

The agency takes over the account, believed to be worth close to six figures, from Bite.

Chameleon’s brief includes media relations and content. The agency will also be advising Hootsuite's marketing team about how its social media management tools can drive business results via engagement and advocacy, rather than focusing on the technology.

Hootsuite’s senior director, EMEA enterprise marketing Stéphanie Genin-Fedoseev said: “We couldn’t be happier with Chameleon as our agency partner in the UK. As Hootsuite continues its expansion, we were looking for an agency to accelerate our business and advance our media relations efforts in the UK and beyond, something we’ve now found.”

Chameleon, which recently completed its management buy out, has also recently won another three international tech brands: payment solutions company Valitor; San Francisco-based digital experimentation platform Optimizely; and payroll and HR services provider SD Worx.

CEO Tom Berry told the Holmes Report: “We are incredibly proud that Hootsuite, Valitor, Optimizely and SD Worx have chosen to work with us. Our mantra at Chameleon is that B2B doesn’t have to be beige; and each of the companies are making waves in their respective sectors. We only work with two types of company: those who want to change their industry and those who want to change themselves. You couldn't find four better clients that fit that mould.”
